The 5th to 7th-place teams from LCK and LPL, as well as the 4th and 5th-place teams from LCP, will participate. For those who haven’t been following the regional leagues, that means Nongshim RedForce (#7) and FEARX (#6) are confirmed to compete, with the final spot going to the loser of T1 and Dplus, scheduled to take place on Sept. 18.
Teams from the LPL will be confirmed once the Regional Finals event finishes on Sept. 27. The LCP is further along, hence we know that GAM Esports (#4) and Vikings Esports (#5) will participate in ASI 2025.
These eight teams won’t just compete to entertain LoL fans and get them hyped for Worlds 2025. There’s also a tasty prize pool of 1.5 million Yuan (~$210,000) on the line.
The tournament will be played on patch 25.20, with changes that are shaking up the mid-lane meta ahead of Worlds 2025. The announcement added that more information about the ASI will be made available soon.
