Make a Car in Lego Fortnite for Faster Movement

One of the elements of Lego Fortnite players wanted since launch was vehicles. It’s fun exploring the world but going by foot gets a little dull. If you want to spice things up, learning how to make a car in Lego Fortnite could help you out quite a bit.

In future Lego Fortnite updates, we’re going to see fast travel added. However, for faster movement without missing out on collecting key resources on the way, a car can’t be beaten. It’s a bit of an elaborate build though. A car involves you having to get quite a few more advanced build pieces. Then you’ll need to physically build a custom car that will actually work well in all the different biomes. If you want a bit of a shortcut, this is how to make a car in Lego Fortnite that’ll run as well as possible, or use one of Epic’s properly designed blueprints.

How to Make A Car in Lego Fortnite

Cars in Lego Fortnite are pretty useful tools. If you want to make one there are a few different ways you can do it. There’s the option to build your own. Essentially, knocking together all of the parts that you need to make a car and design your own. Or, you can use one of the recipes you can unlock in gameplay.

Building Your Own Vehicle

The more complicated method for how to make a car in Lego Fortnite is to unlock each of the pieces then slowly put them together to build your own. This can be more fun though. It’ll require a bit of grinding, but Lego Fortnite is permanent so it’s a decent use of time. You will need to unlock a few key parts first though. These are:

Base – A vehicle base. Different build types have different foundations to carry their parts.

Power Center – Essentially an engine, you’ll need to build one to power your car.
Wheels – Obviously a car needs wheels.
Driver’s Seat – A seat to sit in and control the vehicle.

Once you have each of these pieces, you can organize them into whatever type of car you want. It’s a more freeing method for how to make a car in Lego Fortnite. If you just want something quick to get from A to B though, the other option is a bit easier.

Using Vehicle Blueprints

The other method for how to make a car in Lego Fortnite is similar to other large builds. You’ll need to unlock the blueprint and then go through the building process once you have the resources to complete it. There are currently five different recipes for vehicles in Lego Fortnite. Some are better for different Lego biomes. This is how you can unlock each of them:

Speeder – Craft a power cell
Offroader – Have a power cell and Flexwood in Lego Fortnite inventory
Hauler – Collect Frostpine and a Power Cell
Kart Racer – Collect Frostpine and Power Cell
Offroad Flyer – Collect Frostpine and Power Cell

Once you’ve unlocked most of the building block materials behind the Lego Fortnite cars, you’ll have most of the blueprints. You’ll still need other items to build the cars successfully though, like wood and granite. Harvesting enough can take a while, like getting obsidian in Lego Fortnite. But once you’ve got the blueprints though it should be easy to build cars in Lego Fortnite.
