Since the release of Marvel Rivals, the gaming community has shown tremendous support for the game. With season 2 of Marvel Rivals only a week away, NetEase Games has announced new team-up abilities and changes to old abilities within Marvel Rivals. Marvel Rivals Season 2: All Team Up Abilities Changes Explained

Team Up abilities are one of the unique gameplay mechanics within Marvel Rivals. These abilities add a buff or increase in the strength of heroes in the game if they are selected together. These buffs could be in the form of movement or player shooting speed.
In Season 1 of Marvel Rivals, there are over 15 team-up abilities in the game. In a YouTube video titled “Season 2 Hellfire Gala” on the YouTube channel of Marvel Rivals, Creative Director Guangguang and Lead Combat Designer Zhiyong talk about the upcoming changes to these abilities.
The first major change is that Scarlet Witch and Magneto’s team-up ability, Metallic Chaos, will be removed from the game. The Team Up ability, Voltaic Union between Thor, Storm, and Captain America, will also be removed. Psyloke will be removed from the Team Up ability Dimensional shortcut. This means the ability will only require Black Panther and Magik to be selected to be activated.
Winter Soldier will be removed from the ability Ammo Overload. It will only require The Punisher and Rocket Raccoon to be activated. Namor is being removed from the Chilling Charisma ability. It will only need Luna Snow and Jeff the Land Shark to be Active. Finally, in the Gamma Charge Team-Up Ability, Doctor Strange is removed, and Namor is added.
A major reason for these changes is to ensure that more fans can experience these abilities. Due to the requirement of 3 heroes, many fans haven’t been able to experience these abilities during ranked matches.
Season 2 New Team Up Abilities!

Mental Projection is the first new Team Up Ability announced to be added in Season 2 of Marvel Rivals. Within this ability, the upcoming hero Emma Frost will be the anchor with Psylocke and Magneto. Once activated, Emma Frost can create illusory projections of Magneto and Pyslocke that will do more damage to enemies.
The second Team Up Ability is known as Arcane Order. Players must select Scarlet Witch and Doctor Strange to activate this ability. Once activated, both heroes receive a buff to their damage output. The third Team Up ability is called Stars Aligned, consisting of Captain America and Winter Soldier.
Only time will tell how these new abilities will impact ranked matches and the game’s esports circuit. Recently, Thor’s Lord of Asgard and Hawkeye’s Ronin costumes were released within the game for 1600 Units each.
