MindsEye release date has finally been revealed, and it’s looking like one of 2025’s most ambitious titles. Coming from Build A Rocket Boy — the new studio founded by ex-Rockstar legend Leslie Benzies, this isn’t just another GTA clone. It’s got a wild sci-fi twist, a full story campaign, player-made content, and a price tag that bucks the AAA trend.

When does MindsEye release?
MindsEye officially launches on June 10, 2025, and it’s heading to PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
Priced at $59.99, MindsEye is deliberately stepping away from the industry’s recent trend of $70–$80 AAA titles. Build A Rocket Boy calls it “a refreshing departure” — and frankly, it is. With game prices on the verge of increasing, a $60 tag feels like an amazing bargain.
But what do you get for that price? Quite a lot, actually.
Redrock Awaits
Set in the sprawling, near-futuristic city of Redrock, MindsEye puts players in the boots of Jacob Diaz, a former soldier grappling with fragmented memories tied to his neural implant. As Diaz, you’ll unravel a conspiracy filled with rogue AI, unchecked militaries, shady megacorps, and a looming threat to humanity.
The narrative is delivered through a tightly crafted linear campaign, powered by Unreal Engine 5.
Packed at Launch
Alongside the main campaign, the game includes a single-player free-roam mode, letting players explore Redrock at their own pace. On day one, you’ll also get access to:
- “Destruction Site Shootout” – a horde-style combat mission
- Two additional combat missions – “Honor Amongst Thieves” and “Friendly Fire”
- Six regular races, six checkpoint races, and three drone races
There’s also a Premium Pass upgrade that nets you an extra horde mission and a cosmetics pack filled with exotic gear — all for those who want a bit more flair and firepower.
Game Creation System (PC Only)
Arguably, one of MindsEye’s most exciting features is its PC-exclusive game creation system. Players can build their own experiences using the same assets used by the dev team, from missions and races to completely custom challenges. It’s a tool designed for the long haul, and Build A Rocket Boy is clearly betting big on community creativity.
In a press release, Leslie said;
“Our team has poured their passion and dedication into creating MindsEye and the Game Creation System for almost a decade, to deliver players an unforgettable story campaign and empower them to craft their own world-class experiences. Continuous updates and fresh new content from our studio ensure MindsEye is an endless adventure.”
What to Expect After the MindsEye Release Date
Build A Rocket Boy also laid out a 2025 roadmap full of free and premium updates following MindsEye release date:
- Summer: community features and new missions
- Fall: new single-player modes, multiplayer(!), and more missions
- Winter: free roam enhancements and additional mission packs
Players with the Premium Pass can expect extra missions and exclusive packs throughout the year. And according to Build A Rocket Boy, the game will receive a “constant stream” of monthly premium content, aiming to keep MindsEye alive and evolving “for decades to come.”
And if the launch hits right, this could quietly become one of 2025’s most talked-about titles.
