Mojang has revealed the release date for their brand new Minecraft Spring to Life Drop. We’d seen hints of this Spring to Life drop for months, with changes in snapshot versions of the game.
As stated by Mojang, the aim is to breathe new life into existing biomes, adding new features players had been looking forward to for years, as well as bringing some of the oldest biomes back to life. And Mojang revealed the release date for the update, during the March 22 Minecraft LIVE stream.

Minecraft Spring to Life Drop Release Date
You don’t have to wait long for the Minecraft Spring to Life Drop , as it’s releasing on March 25. There’s nothing you need to do or download to update your game to the new version, you just need to launch Minecraft as normal, and it’ll automatically update with the Spring to Life update.

What’s in the Minecraft Spring to Life Drop?
We’ve already covered the majority of what’s arriving in the drop, back when it was just called the Spring Drop . But beyond these new mob types, biome changes, and other additions, the big focus of the Minecraft LIVE was the new sound design.

The aim, as the developers stated, was to develop new sounds, with the aim that some players may even start to build with sound profiles and noises in mind.
What else was revealed at the Minecraft LIVE March 22 Show?
Beyond just the new Spring to Life Drop, the Minecraft LIVE show took the time to showcase the new native vanilla shaders for Minecraft, titled the Minecraft Vibrant Visuals Update. But it didn’t stop there – Mojang also revealed some of the contents of the next drop, including the Ghastling and Locator Bar for Minecraft.
