The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Mid-Season Cup (MSC) 2025 returns to the Esports World Cup (EWC) in Riyadh this summer. Ahead of the anticipated competition, the slots distribution for the tournament has been announced, with a historic 16 regions set to compete for the first time.
EWC x MLBB MSC 2025 Main Stage Slot Allocation
Just like last year, the EWC x MLBB MSC 2025 main stage will feature 16 teams as well. The slot distribution is as follows.

Additionally, one more slot is reserved for the Wildcard tournament, where the expansion in terms of regions can be observed.
Furthermore, North America continues to get its slot back even as there was some uncertainty surrounding the TikTok ban, which also affected MLBB. However, a new publisher for Mobile Legends in the region has fixed the issue.
Wildcard Slot Allocation
The regions in the EWC x MLBB MSC 2025 Wildcard stage will be as follows. Each region will get one slot:
- China
- EECA
- Japan
- Latin America
- MEKONG
- MENA
- Mongolia
- Vietnam
The new editions are set to be in Japan and Vietnam. The new slots open from regional competitions, which is the new Vietnam MLBB Championship (VMC) Spring 2025.
In Japan, it’s the MLBB Japan League. These new additions showcase MLBB esports’ growing global influence.
“The addition of new regions in EWC x MSC 2025 highlights our commitment to fostering an inclusive MLBB esports ecosystem,” said Mike Chu the head of regional esports at MOONTON. “By enhancing the tournament’s global reach, we are providing a platform for esports talent from around the world to compete at the highest level.”

At the moment, MOONTON hasn’t revealed the format, exact schedule, or prize pool for the EWC x MLBB MSC 2025 yet. The slot allocation has revealed that the same number of teams will participate. Therefore, we think it will be similar to the previous year.
