The MLBB Women’s Invitational 2024 quarterfinals were held on July 26 with eight teams duking it for the semifinals spots. After some close games, four teams have emerged who’ll advance further to contest for the MWI trophy.
The MLBB Women’s Invitational is considered to be the world championship of the female MLBB esports scene. While it was started back in 2022, this year, the tournament is being held at the Esports World Cup event in Riyadh with an impressive $500,000 prize pool. Besides the MWI, the Esports World also played host to the MLBB MSC 2024.

Who are the semi-finalists of the MWI 2024?
The MWI 2024 Playoffs Stage will follow a single elimination bracket format, which means teams will get knocked out of the tournament if they lose a series against their opponents.
Here are the four teams that have made it to the semifinals
Team Vitality
Team Vitality are the defending champions and are considered the favorites to lift the trophy this year. The squad has shown incredible plays throughout the Group Stage and cruised over their opponents, Zino Lilies, in the quarterfinals.
Falcons Vega
Falcons Vega is also one of the prime contenders for the MWI 2024 trophy. They are the only team to not drop even a single game yet. Their flawless winning streak in the Group Stage and quarterfinals will be put to the test as they go up against Team Vitality in the semifinals.
Victory Song Gamers
Victory Song Gamers can be considered the dark horse of this tournament. Although their group and quarterfinal matchups were not against the favorite teams, they still have the potential to create an upset. The semifinals will be the real test for the female squad.
Omega Empress
In the last quarterfinal series, Omega Empress fought valiantly and created a reverse sweep to book their spot in the semifinals. As the only Filipino team in the tournament, Omega Empress has a huge fan base supporting them. They will be looking to improve their MWI placement from last year (third) and give their all for a chance to win the trophy.
The Semifinals of the MLBB Women’s Invitational 2024 will be held on July 27 with Team Vitality facing Falcons Vega and Omega Empress going up against Victory Song Gamers. These female teams will play a best-of-5 series to determine the two that will advance to the Grand Finals of MWI 2024.
