The BLAST Open Spring 2025 Quarter-Finals have come to a close in Lisbon, with very few surprises as the favorites of the day romped to victory. It was a quick affair, too, with both matches ending in 2:0 series wins. Read on to find out all about the winners and losers!

The first Quarter-Final at BLAST Open Spring 2025 was MOUZ vs. G2, with the former coming in as favorites. Guess what: it showed. Everyone on G2 not named m0NESY were totally unable to find impact in this match, which allowed this remarkably consistent MOUZ roster to snatch an easy 2:0 series win.

It has been so impressive to me how consistent MOUZ are in the fragging department since Brollan took over as IGL. For me, that’s a real recipe for sustained success – their players can have bad days in the knowledge that someone else can pick up the slight slack to get over the line. With Eternal Fire up next for MOUZ, I expect them to make the Final.

Spirit make NAVI look easy

In Spirit vs. NAVI, I had hoped to see a game that was a little more competitive. Unfortunately, it wasn’t to be, as Spirit outclassed NAVI in two in just about every aspect of Counter-Strike. NAVI simply never got going, continuing what feels like it has been a torrid run of form for the team. Obviously, Playoffs aren’t a total failure, but it’s not where this team wants to be.

As usual, it was the same two difference-makers for Spirit. Yes, donk was awesome, but when he’s combined with a fully-firing sh1ro, Spirit become a team that are almost impossible to stop. There’s simply too much firepower for the other side to handle, and NAVI certainly struggled to do so here.

These matches set up tomorrow’s BLAST Open Spring 2025 Semi-Finals, which are as follows:

  • Eternal Fire vs. MOUZ
  • Vitality vs. Spirit
