NAVI Announces Two New MLBB Female Teams: NAVI PH and NAVI MY

Within MLBB, the MLBB Women’s Invitational (MWI) was launched in 2022. This tournament was first held, consisting of only Southeast Asian teams. The first tournament of his event had a prize pool of $15,000.
Multiple international esports organizations took notice of these numbers and joined the ecosystem, including NAVI and Team Liquid. At the start of the year, Navi acquired Rebellion Esports’ spot in MPL Indonesia. The NAVI team recently played during the MLBB MPL ID Season 15. Shockingly, the roster failed to win a single match and currently has a record of 0-13.
In a blog post on their website, NAVI announced they signed two female MLBB teams. These teams are from the Philippines and Malaysia. The interesting part is that they have signed the former roster of Omega Esports, the reigning champions of the MWI.
During the MWI 2024, Omega Empress secured the championship with Team Vitality finishing second place. Before that, this team had finished 3rd during MWI 2023. The Malaysian team that NAVI acquired is the former team of Arcane.
Recently, they secured their qualification in the upcoming MWI 2024 after finishing first in the Malaysia /Singapore Qualifier for the event.

When the Esports World Cup was announced in 2024, the MWI was announced to be hosted during the event. With this announcement, the tournament became an international tournament, with teams from around the world able to take part. The prize pool for the event rose to $550,000 in 2024.
During the MWI 2024, Omega Empress defeated Team Vitality in the grand finals with a score of 3-0. This was quite a dominating performance shown by the Philippines team.
During the ongoing Athena League, the Philippines’ official qualifier for the upcoming MWI 2024, NAVI PH finished the group stage in first place. To secure qualification for the MLBB Women’s Invitational 2025, they need to finish as the top two teams. They will need to play in a double-bracket format in the playoffs.

On the other hand, NAVI MY has already secured qualification; thus, the next major event they will be playing is the MLBB Women’s Invitational 2025. The MLBB Women’s Invitational 2025 is slated to take place from July 15 to 19 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, during the EWC. This year, the playoffs and the group stage will be played in a LAN environment.
