In 2024, Hok was released in multiple countries worldwide, opening the gates for multiple new teams and players to join the Hok Esports ecosystem. Honor of Kings had the highest cumulative tournament prize pool of over $20 million in 2024.

The game announced its esports roadmap for 2025 to capitalize on this hype. Two tournaments that excited all HoK fans were the HOK Major East and West Leagues. A new league was introduced in 2024 for the best teams worldwide to participate in. These two tournaments were held in parallel in Malaysia from April 17 until May 3.

The grand finals of the Major East League Spring 2025 (KME) were between Nongshim RedForce and Gen G Esports. The finals ended with the former winning the best-of-5 series with a scoreline of 3-1. They became the first team to secure a spot in the upcoming Honor of Kings World Cup (KMC) 2025 tournament, which will be held during the Esports World Cup in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

During the Major East League Spring 2025 (KMW), the grand finals were between Twisted Minds and OG Esports. The matchup was a thriller, going to game 5. Nighty from Twisted Minds was awarded the FMVP award for the tournament. With this victory, Twisted Minds secured their spot in the upcoming KWC 2025.

While the tournament’s last match is usually the grand final, that wasn’t the case during this event. There was one final match-up for a spot in the Honor of Kings World Cup 2025, known as the Kings Major Last Call.

Within this match, the teams that finished 2nd during both Honor of Kings Major East and West League Spring 2025 will face off against each other in a best-of-5 series. The match between Gen G Esports and OG Esports was a one-sided affair. OG Esports secured the win with a score of 3-0, securing the final spot for the KWC 2025.
