Perfect World has announced the first set of matches that will be taking place in the regional CS2 Shanghai Major RMRs. The RMRs are set to take place between November 11th – 24th, kicking off in Asia. Recent rumors have suggested that from next year, Majors will be doing away with the RMR format, which means this could be the last time we see this kind of event in the competitive CS2 scene.

Asia-Pacific RMR
Below are the opening matchups for the Asia-Pacific RMR for the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024, taking place between November 11th and 13th.
The MongolZ vs. Alter Ego
Lynn Vision vs. DRILLAS
Rare Atom vs. GR
FlyQuest vs. TALON
The main point of interest here will be on DRILLAS. With ohnePixel registered as a coach for the event, will we actually see the streamer barking orders behind his team? Will there be ohnePixel stickers in CS2 before the end of the year? Let’s keep our eyes on this one.
American RMR
Following Asia are the opening matchups for the American RMR for the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024, which will be held between November 12th and 15th.

All eyes here are focused on Team Liquid. After missing out on the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024, the team can’t get into the habit of missing Majors.

The big storyline here is Astralis. The four-time CS:GO Major winners haven’t even reached one since the PGL Major Antwerp 2022, which isn’t good enough for a team of their stature. They NEED this, and haven’t looked in the best form before the upcoming event.
