Within MLBB Esports, there are two primary rosters: one for MPL Philippines and another for MPL Indonesia. Their MPL Philippines roster was formed in 2024. In their first event, they won the MPL Philippines Season 13 and finished third during MLBB Mid-Season Cup 2024.
During this time, they were a tad bit overshadowed by their Indonesian counterpart as they had finished second in the M6 World Championship, which Team Liquid PH didn’t qualify for.
For MPL Philippines Season 15, they made some changes with John “Perkz” Sumawan and Kiel Calvin” Oheb” Q.Soriano joining the roster. In the group stage, this team finished in 1st place with a record of 12-2. As they had finished first, they had received a bye to the Upper Bracket Semi-Finals in which they defeated Team Falcons PH in a close 3-2 thriller of a match.
Following this, they lost to the reigning M6 World champions ONIC Philippines with a demolishing scoreline of 3-0. Clawing their way back to the top, the defeated Team Falcons PH in the lower bracket finals.

The M6 World Championship was one that Team Liquid PH failed to qualify for. This was due to their bad performance during the MPL Philippines Season 14. Around the same time, ONIC Philippines was on a roll that no one expected. They won MPL Philippines Season 14, then followed it up by becoming the champions of the M6 World Championship. In 2025, this run of form continued as the team went on to win the Snapdragon Pro Series Season 6 APAC – Challenge Finals and the ESL Snapdragon Pro Series: Mobile Masters 2025.
While their international form was incredible, their regional form wasn’t the best. During the group stage, they finished in third place, as a result of which they didn’t receive a bye. Instead, they defeated every single team they faced in the upper bracket to qualify for the grand finals. Thus, the grand finals were a clash between two teams that are currently the best in MLBB esports.

Both ONIC Philippines and Team Liquid PH have secured their spot in the upcoming MSC 2025 that will take place during the Esports World Cup in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The tournament has a prize pool of $3 million with the top MLBB teams from around the world taking part in the event.
