Team Secret has officially parted ways with all three of its cores, as the team looks to entirely rebuild. News of the departures were officially confirmed on Team Secret’s social media on Tuesday, August 13.
However, unofficially, Team Secret had slowly been disbanding and dropping its cores over the past few weeks. On July 25, Miroslav “BOOM” Bičan posted on his personal Twitter account that he was out of the team:

Then, on Aug. 10, Teng “Kordan” Tjin Yao posted similar sentiments

Finally, just two days ago, on Sunday, Aug. 11, Crystallis announced his departure as well:
I HAVE COME TO ANNOUNCE THAT TEAM SECRET IS BACK, BECAUSE I AM NOT.

The official announcement would come two days later, leaving Team founder, captain, and position 5, Clement “Puppey” Ivanov, as the sole member of the team.
The organization seemingly retained its current coaching staff and administrative members, suggesting a full player rebuild around Puppey may be coming in the future.
In their announcement post, Team Secret thanked their departing players, stating: “Today we wish farewell to the cores of our Dota 2 roster. Truly dedicated players who deserve the best, as we look forward to the next chapter. ”
Team Secret has had a tumultuous 2024. After a strong stat that saw them qualify for several of the most significant events of the year, the organization struggled, relying on direct invites to major events. In the latter part of the season, the team fell down the rankings, and missed out on a place at TI.
The team found itself a step behind the gamut of talent in the Western European region.
With a new season on the horizon, Team Secret will likely be in full headhunting mode at The International 2024, which for many non-qualified teams is still a must-attend event to find a new stack of talent.
