Dota 2 never sleeps, and the competitive scene always seems to have upcoming tournaments. For Dota 2 fans, the year is nearing its last quarter, and it’s a time when many major Dota 2 championships occur.

Below we’ve listed some of the upcoming Dota 2 tournaments for the next few months. There is no shortage of Dota 2 tournaments as we head towards the end of 2024, so it’s an exciting time to be a Dota 2 Esports fan. Catch these tournaments in action, featuring the world’s strongest teams of the season.

Fissure Universe: Episode 3 (August 21-25)

Happening on the August 21-25, the Fissure Universe: Episode 3 is particularly exciting because it features powerhouses, such as Team Falcons, BetBoom Team, Gaimin Gladiators and especially the debut of Cloud 9’s Dota 2 division.

Featuring only eight teams, which includes Team Spirit, Tundra Esports, two to-be-determined teams and the previously-mentioned teams, FISSURE has rallied quite a selection of teams to compete for $135,000 in prize winnings.

The International 2024, TI13 (September 4-15)

The International 2024 (TI13) is renowned as the crown jewel of Dota 2 tournaments annually. With its thirteenth iteration this year, the Aegis of Champions now resides at Copenhagen, Denmark, where sixteen teams will compete to be the next TI Champion.

It’s all eyes on Team Spirit, last year’s champions to defend their title or a new champion will be crowned. Thus, fans are eagerly marking the dates between September 4-15 on their calendar, when TI13 kicks off. TI13 has a starting prize pool of $1.6 million, with community contribution yet to be announced by its host, Valve.

PGL Wallachia S2 (October 4-13)

Later in October, specifically October 4-13, PGL is ready to host PGL Wallachia Season 2 at Bucharest, Romania.

With an eye-catching million-dollar prize pool, PGL Wallachia S2 is leaving its mark among other Dota 2 tournaments with biggest prize pools. Being an offline event, fans are excited to meet their favorite teams in Romania, such as Team Falcons, Liquid, Spirit, Xtreme Gaming, and more.

DreamLeague S24, (October 27 – November 10)

The DreamLeague series returns with its twenty-fourth season and is the first tournament of the ESL Pro Tour (EPT) 2024-2025. Besides its generous million-dollar prize pool, DreamLeague S24 holds significant value among Dota 2 teams because it’s the first tournament with EPT points on the line.

Dota 2 teams looking forward to the Riyadh Masters 2025 must earn EPT points to place top-eight in the EPT leaderboard rankings. DreamLeague S24 is happening from October 27 to November 10, which is dubbed the post-TI Dota 2 roster shuffle too. This is a period, when many teams and players have roster shuffles for the new 2025 season. Hence, it will give us a glimpse of next season’s upcoming team rosters.
