Since its launch in 2020, VALORANT skins have become one of the most polarizing aspects of the game. Many believe that the skins might be overpriced, while others appreciate them for their unique animations. With the release of Patch 10.06, VALORANT has announced the launch of the Bolt skin bundle within the game. Here are all the details about the upcoming skinline.
VALORANT Bolt Skin Bundle: What Is The Release Date?

At the start of the year in the dev diaries video by VALORANT, it was slated that there would be more emphasis on the various micro details about the skins. This was primarily done because there have been multiple editions of the skin bundles, such as the Oni, Prime, and Reaver bundles.
Thus, the Bolt skinline’s release feels like a breath of fresh air. There is no definite date for the skin to go live in VALORANT, but it’s reported to go live in the first half of April 2025.
It would be an understatement to state that VALORANT fans are not passionate about the skins in the game. Recently, to appreciate the love the Smite skin bundle receives within the community, VALORANT announced the second version of the skin bundle. The upcoming Bolt skinline feels like the elder brother to the Smite skin bundle. The reason is quite simple: they are both associated with lightning bolts.
Below is a list of all the weapons and cosmetics that will be available within the skinline:
- Phantom
- Outlaw
- Spectre
- Frenzy
- Melee (knife)
- Bolt Gun Buddy
- Bolt Player Card
- Bolt Flex (Totem)
- Bolt Spray
What are the features and cost?

The weapons within the Bolt skin bundle will have four unique variants. Interestingly, each of the color variants looks quite distinct from the other. The weapon’s body will have multiple bolts of lightning. From the skin’s announcement video, it does look like the skin will change colors while being used mid-round, similar to the RGX skin bundle.
A unique aspect of the skin is the kill banner. Rather than having a variant of skull that has been seen on previous skins, the kill banner will now have a bolt of Lightning. It looks similar to the DC Flash logo.
The finisher of the skin showcases the enemy’s body being lifted up and then being electrocuted by a bolt of lightning from the sky. Thunder clouds appear in the sky, and their color changes. If a player inspects their weapon during the finisher animation, the color of the gun and the sky would be in sync.
As the skin has multiple unique effects and animations, it would be fair to assume that the weapon skin on its own would cost between 2,375 and 2,675 VALORANT Points. The melee of this skin could cost between 4,350 to 5,350 VALORANT Points.
VALORANT recently announced buffs and nerfs to agents like Kay/0 and Vyse in the recently launched Patch 10.06.
