VALORANT is a free-to-play FPS game with a thriving esports ecosystem. This year was the second season of the VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) with the new league format. During this season, it was announced that there would be two VCT Masters events. Following this is the VALORANT Champions event, the penultimate tournament of the year. During each iteration of the VALORANT Champions, Riot Games launches an exclusive skin bundle to celebrate the event. Following this tradition, Riot has announced the new VALORANT Champions 2024 skin bundle. In this article, let’s take a deep dive into the skins and see if it’s worth it.
VALORANT Champions 2024 Skin Bundle: Weapons & Features

Since 2021, VALORANT has launched a skin bundle to celebrate the main tournament of the VALORANT esports season. This year, the VALORANT Champions 2024 is slated to take place in Seoul, Korea. The tournament will occur from August 1 to 25. The top 16 teams from the four VCT Leagues will participate in this event.
This year, the VALORANT Champions skin bundle consists of two weapons: the Phantom and the Knife. This year, the knife will be in the form of the Katana. Previously, we have seen the Butterfly and the Karambit editions of the VALORANT Champions knife. The Phantom already looks like one of the best skins in the game.

The Phantom looks quite different from the game’s 2022 VALORANT Champions edition skin. Instead of the red accent, the gun has gone for the purple colorway. The body of the weapon now has a mini-rotating arc reactor. The skin does have purple and pink colorways all over the body of the gun. After each kill, the body of the skin glows like it’s getting refilled with energy. There is a new kill confirmed below which is the VCT logo. Following each kill, parts of it get filled up more and more, and the arc reactor spins faster.
There is a VCT logo on the body of the skin as well. Similar to the 2023 Champions Vandal skin, parts of the logo glow following a certain amount of kills. After every three kills in the game, another part of the logo glows. After a player gets the 24th kill, the skin changes form. The body turns into gold and has the same texture as the VALORANT Champions trophy.

The most exciting and unique part of this skin is the finisher. Following the final kill of the round, a supernova is formed. The supernova will consist of all the enemies that a player has killed. There are also asteroids that players can shoot, resulting in them exploding. If a player stands below the VALORANT Champions trophy, their agent will also pose below it in a unique animation.

The Katana is also quite interesting. It has a unique inspection animation and a new right-click animation. The Katana does have the Champion aura and the cracked gold texture similar to the VALORANT Champions trophy. The VALORANT Champions 2024 skin bundle as a whole is slated to cost around 6200 VP, which is just under $60.
