Since its launch in limited beta, VALORANT Console has been the talk of the gaming ecosystem. This was due to the game’s ability to replicate the same gameplay style as that of its PC variant. About a week ago, VALORANT announced that the game’s console version was in its open beta phase, so fans didn’t require a limited beta key to access the game.
Now that VALORANT has officially launched on console, here is how fans can download it on either PS5 or Xbox Series X|S.
Boot up your console.
Go to the respective console application store (PlayStation store/Xbox Store).
Click on the search button.
Type “VALORANT” within this field and click enter.
Click on the first option by Riot Games.
Click on add to cart.
Once added, click on Download.
Other Important News About The Console Version Of The Game
Currently, all the VALORANT maps are not available on VALORANT Console. Riot Games announced in a blog post that from Patch 9.02 to Patch 9.06, one new map will be added to the console version of the game. They hope that, following Patch 9.06, all maps will be available in the game.
Another key point is that the game has two exclusive features: Toggle Abilities and Focused Shooting. Focused Shooting acts differently from ADS and reduces a player’s controller sensitivity, allowing the player to aim better in-game. If you have played VALORANT Console during the game’s beta phase, your rank has now been reset.
In an official statement, VALORANT stated that fans will need to play certain placement games within the game. Following this, players will get a new rank. There is a high possibility that your new rank will be much lower than your current rank.
