VALORANT released the new update of Patch 9.01. This update was crucial for many as it involved the nerfing of Iso within the game. Specific changes were also made to VALROANT console, currently available in limited beta on Xbox and PS5. Following the update’s release, players often have their game and PC crash out of nowhere.

Reddit User trippingrainbow on the r/ValorantTechSupport subreddit stated that their entire PC crashes 75% of the time they close the game. Many other users have echoed the same issue. Some PC crashes if the player selects the option to leave the desktop. This has left a small part of the fanbase wondering if something was wrong with their system. Certain players have also reported that their PC crashes if they use the alt+F4 command in the game.

Another user named Buujoom on the same subreddit stated that system logs showed him that the PC goes into force reboot mode the moment they quit VALORANT. Currently, there is no fix to this issue within VALORANT for the shutdown error, and the ideal way to go forward is to wait to play the game until a patch is released. Even by reinstalling the entire game, fans haven’t been able to get rid of this issue. Riot Games hasn’t released an official fix on their support website.

Therefore, the only fix for the error is to restart your PC if it crashes after you exit VALORANT. We will update this article with a fix when it becomes available.
