It’s no secret that VALORANT players have been requesting a replay feature since day one. It’s a pretty useful tool to analyze your gameplay, spot where you’re making mistakes and best of all, many of you would use it to create amazing montages. Thankfully, the wait is finally over, as Riot Games has shared an official announcement revealing when the VALORANT replay feature will be released and what players can expect in the initial stage. So, without further ado, let’s check out the details.
Besides the Replay system, a lot of new features have been revealed in the latest VALORANT Dev Diary.

Riot has confirmed that replays will be launching for PC players in September 2025 as a part of the 11.06 patch along with the new Incentive map. As a result, this new feature will give you full access to review your recently played matches right from the client.
Console players won’t be left in the dust, though. Riot mentioned that replays are also on their way to consoles, just a little later this year. No exact date yet, but at least we know it’s in the pipeline. So, no matter what platform you’re on, the wait is almost over.
At launch, the replay system will focus on competitive games which makes a lot of sense. After all, ranked matches are where players are the most locked in, trying to climb the ladder, fix their mistakes, and turn the tide in tough situations.
You’ll be able to go back and watch your most recent competitive matches on the live patch version. That means you’re seeing the game exactly how it was played, with no weird bugs or outdated visuals.
Riot also mentioned that they’re looking into expanding support for other game modes down the line. So if you’re more into Swiftplay, Unrated, or custom matches, hang tight it’s likely coming your way soon enough.
What You Can Do with Replays in VALORANT
While Riot hasn’t shown the full feature list just yet, here’s what you can probably expect based on what other competitive shooters offer and what Riot has hinted at:
- Free camera mode to move around the map
- Player POV switches so you can see how each teammate or enemy played the round
- Timeline scrubbing to jump to specific moments
- Possibly kill cams or utility tracking to review specific plays
It’s not confirmed if all of these will be there at launch, but even the basics will be a huge win. For coaches, streamers, and esports players, this feature is going to be worth its weight in gold.
VALORANT has been out for a few years now, and players have been begging for a replay system since day one. We’ve had to rely on third-party screen recorders and good old-fashioned memory to review gameplay. It’s been like flying blind and in a game that’s all about tactics, timing, and positioning, that’s not ideal.
With replays finally entering the mix, players can now study their own gameplay like a pro, spotting mistakes they didn’t even realize they were making. And for those chasing rank, this is going to be a massive tool to help level up faster.
Not to mention it’s just cool to be able to re-watch your best moments and maybe even clip them for TikTok or YouTube.
