As if there weren’t enough reasons to be excited for The International 2024, Valve has unveiled the TI13 Cosplay Competition sponsored by SteelSeries. Announced today (Aug. 1), the competition invites cosplayers to craft their best Dota-themed cosplays to display in Copenhagen next month for The International.
There’s a €18,500 Prize Pool, and winners will be granted a full set of SteelSeries Gear and two general admission tickets to The International 2024.
Participating contestants do not need to be event ticket holders — all registered cosplayers will attend the Pre-Judging Event near the Royal Arena. Information will be provided to all participants in the first week of September.
To enter, players should head to the SteelSeries website, where full details and rules can be found, although at the time of writing, these were non functional.
In an additional Tweet, unofficial Valve spokesperson Wykrhm Reddy outlined the perks:
“The International 2024 Cosplay Contest — Now with a prize pool of $18,500 USD and goodies.”
The cosplay competition has become a staple of TI, with its showcase becoming one of the most looked-forward parts of the event. Cosplay competitions are commonplace at Dota 2 events, where the creative side of the community can be fully realized.
The International 2024, sometimes known as TI3, will run between September 4 and September 10, 2024, in Copenhagen, Denmark. The Finals will be hosted in The Royal Arena in Copenhagen, with the tournament featuring 16 of the best teams from around the world. Stay tuned to Esports.net for full TI13 coverage and details.
