Warside Release Date

The latest game from LAVABIRD and First Break Labs is coming out on April 14, 2025. This is, however, only for PC. Any other platforms will have to wait for an as-yet-unknown later date. Eventually, it will come out on all the platforms, but PC is up first in about two weeks. There are free-to-play demos, but there is no early access period for the game itself. It will not be out until April 14.

Platforms

Aside from PC, Warside is coming out on a variety of platforms. It will also be on Linux, not just Microsoft Windows, and Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. It is one of the rare new titles to come out on the last-gen consoles like Xbox One and PlayStation 4. There are so few games that come to those platforms anymore,

Furthermore, if it’s coming to the Nintendo Switch, it will likely eventually make its way onto the Nintendo Switch 2. The successor won’t be out when this game arrives on PC, but when it comes to consoles, don’t be surprised if it makes it to that one as well. It is a much more powerful console, so if it can handle the Switch, it can handle the Switch 2.

Warside Trailer

Warside, which is a classic turn-based tactics game that seems to be heavily inspired by Advanced Wars from the GameBoy and Nintendo DS era, has a trailer showcasing what you can expect. The art style is on full display, and players get a good look at how the gameplay is. It’s pretty straightforward for the genre, but the trailer does a nice job of showcasing how vast it can get with a simple premise.

Details

The Steam description reads, “Welcome to Warside, the fast-paced turn-based tactics game. With a single-player story campaign, multiplayer support, and a built-in map editor, the fight for victory never ends. Choose your Commander, assemble your forces, and battle your way to victory.” It is a game highly reminiscent of Advanced Wars, but it is not the same. That franchise is a Nintendo exclusive and recently popped back up on Switch, while this is obviously very widely available.
