What are Fortnite Ranged weapons? The entire loot pool of the game feels like it would apply to this category! Every now and again, the game gives out quests with this little caveat attached. Deal damage with ranged weapons, or use ranged weapons while airborne. It can be confusing at times. You can use one weapon which clearly fires a projectile and it doesn’t track for your quests. What exactly are ranged weapons and how does Epic differentiate between weapon types?
What are Fortnite Ranged Weapons?
Fortnite Ranged Weapons are a category of gun that pops up quite a bit in quests. The weapons that fit into this category are fairly self-explanatory. They’re ones that you use from a range. Fortnite mainly uses guns in its combat. Although, there are Fortnite Melee weapons from time to time too.
For the most part, it’s Fortnite Ranged weapons that you’ll primarily use. Anything that fires out a projectile from a distance. There are also throwable weapons in here too. Although, the game doesn’t really have that many of those right now. There are still EMP Grenades to think about, even if normal grenades have been gone for a while.
The only weapons that don’t fit into the Ranged category are those that you use to strike an enemy directly. At the moment, that’s the Nitro Fists and melee items. Running people down with cars probably isn’t a ranged weapon either.
How Can You Complete Ranged Quests?
That’s what Ranged Weapons are, but the game often has quests that tasks players to use them. How can you get these completed? You really just have to use normal weapons. In most games, this will be the majority of the fights. Unless you’re in that LTM with only Melee items that are in Fortnite leaks at the moment. Any other game mode will have you use Fortnite Ranged weapons pretty frequently, so these quests shouldn’t be a problem.
