Tekken 8 at the Esports World Cup will run with a similar format to other fighters, like Street Fighter 6. On the whole, it’s a bit unique, with extra phases and a different bracket to most fighting game events. Things begin normally enough with a group stage. 8 groups of 4 players. They each play a double elimination bracket, with the top 2 moving on to the second phase. That’s 4 groups of 4 players, with a second double-elimination bracket. The top 2 go on to a Single Elimination bracket for the Finals. There’s no second chance stage in the last bracket this time.
Tekken 8 EWC will see some of the best players internationally attend. There’s a $1,000,000 prize pool here too. Who are all of the players competing in this event?
