The Star Wars season has introduced another handful of new skins, but this year we’re going past characters from the films. We’re getting new original skins, like the Fortnite Darth Jar-Jar skin. It’s a skin of an original character, or at least one lifted entirely from memes outside of the series.
We’ve been getting Fortnite Star Wars skins for years. Starting with characters from recently released films. Over the seasons, we got more skins from older films. Now we’re seemingly down to memes! Rather than being the actual Jar Jar, we’re getting a skin of a Sith version of him. From a fan theory that went viral years ago, that suggested Jar-Jar was a secret Sith. It’s a fun inclusion in the season. Now we’re approaching the halfway point of Galactic Battle though, it hasn’t been added to the game yet. When will the Fortnite Darth Jar-Jar skin actually get released?

When Does the Fortnite Darth Jar-Jar Skin Release?
The Fortnite Darth Jar-Jar skin is expected to arrive in the item shop with the next Fortnite update. For the Galactic Battle mini-season, we’re getting regular updates but most of the contents have been shown off ahead of time. That includes the Darth Jar-Jar skin, which we’ve had a good look at since the season was first revealed.
The new skin will be added into the files from Thursday 15th May. However, this won’t necessarily be when it appears in the item shop. Once it’s in the files it can appear at any time, but we won’t have a countdown. The safest release date is later in the week, once there’s been some room cleared in the item shop. We have a lot of Star Wars skins to rotate through the Item Shop in the coming weeks, so new skins are showing up pretty slowly.
New Jar-Jar Skin
To see the skin in full and the items coming along with it, we’ll have to wait for it to arrive in the files. Once it’s added with a future update, we should see it show up in Fortnite leaks. We’ll be able to see what backbling, glider, or any other cosmetic are arriving alongside it! Or if it’s going to be a bundle of musical instruments.
The Darth Jar-Jar skin has potential for some really creative extra items. Especially since it’s an original skin and not constrained by what was in the films.
