One of the most exciting parts of Fortnite is the live events. Big happenings, that blow up the world of Fortnite as we move onto something new. What time is the Fortnite live event next time we’ll see one though? Sometimes these aren’t announced too early, which can make them difficult to catch unless you’re watching very closely.

Jumping into the game after the last Fortnite update, there’s one major change to the world. A big countdown ahs appeared above Brutal Beachhead! Surely this is a countdown to the next Fortnite live event. When can we expect the Chapter 5 Season 3 live event?

What Time is the Fortnite Live Event?

Since the last update, we’ve gotten confirmation that a Fortnite live evnt is int he works, and a countdown. We know exactly what date and time the event will be held on.It’s due to take palce on August 10th. At the following time depending on your time zone:

2 PM ET
11 AM PT
6 PM GMT
7 PM CET

What exactly is planned for this live event? If it’s anything like the other chapter five seasons, we’re in for a mini-event of sorts. Each of the last two seasons has ended with players getting in-game animations and developments, but not a dedicated event playlist.

Since he timer is displayed above Brutal Beachead, we’re expeting this to factor into the game. It’s also likely Megalo Don will be involved since he’s the main villian of this season.

Outside of that, it’s a mystery what’s coming with the next Fortnite live event! With a giant timer above the POI, we always know how far away we are from the live event getting started.

When Do Epic Hold Fortnite Live Events?

That’s what time is the Fortnite live event but how often are they even held? They’ve had varying schedules across all of Fortnite’s seasons. Back in Chapter 1, these came at the end of most seasons. More recently they’ve gotten sparser though. They’re pretty much only used for the end of Chapters now. We do get mini events or changes in between though.

At the end of both Chapter 5 S1 and S2, we’ve seen mini events happen. These aren’t dedicated playlists, but small things on the map that repeat in a set period for everyone in Battle Royale. We had the Pandora Chest and then the Sandstorm. These aren’t proper events, but they do give us some Fortnite lore details in between seasons.

We’re not expecting another Fortnite live event to happen until the end of Chapter 5, in a couple of seasons. However, Epic could hold one a bit sooner. These events have gotten rarer though, and moving most of the event development team to the newly launched other game modes probably doesn’t help.

If you’re wondering what time is the Fortnite live event, you might be waiting until the close of Chapter 5! Keep an eye out for these mini events and animations that pop up though. They might not have the grandeur of a live event proper, but they’re still a fun collective experience.
