LoL Patch 14.18 is just around the corner, September 11 to be exact. The latest rotation in the League of Legends Mythic Shop comes with the release of a new patch. This is the chance for players to acquire new prestige skins, along with the latest prestige skin, that being Crystalis Indomitus Nautilus. Here are all the Prestige skins coming to the LoL Mythic shop in Patch 14.18.

Why are Prestige skins special in LoL?

Prestige Skins are some of the rarest in the game, but fortunately for fans, you can acquire them, unlike PAX Twisted Fate for example. For the most part, they are some of the nicest skins in the game, with champions draped in gold. Initially, these skins were rare versions of already-made skins. Prestige K/DA Akali was the first Prestige skin in LoL, but it wasn’t a “new” skin per se. It was a gold version of the already-made K/DA Akali skin.

As time went on, Riot adapted how Prestige skins looked and appeared in League of Legends, with many Prestige Skins sporting their own colors and designs. Take Crystalis Indomitus Nautilus, for example. This is a brand new skin for Nautilus players to enjoy and isn’t a remake of a previous skin. A new rotation of Prestige skins enters the Mythic Shop every two patches. That means that in the next patch, players will have the opportunity to get more skin. Here is every Prestige skin coming to the store in Patch 14.18:

Hextech Annie
Ashen Knight Pyke
Prestige K/DA Akali
Prestige Obsidian Dragon Sett
Prestige High Noon Talon
Prestige Star Guardian Soraka
Crystalis Indomitus Nautilus
T1 Jayce

How do I purchase a Prestige skin?

Unfortunately for players, money will not help you in this matter. Prestige skins are not available in the main League of Legends store and can’t be purchased using Riot Points. Instead, they are part of the Mythic Store. It’s a shop that only hosts the most valuable of League of Legends skins.

To access this store, go up to the top of the navigation bar and click on the loot button, where you would go to craft skins and open chests. In the materials tab, you will see a purple crystal, and this is your Mythic Essence. Click on this button, and the Mythic Shop will appear on your right. Eight Prestige skins are available at a time, all varying in price, with the “best” skin being placed at the top as it’s the most expensive. Mythic Essence is hard to come by, which is why you would be pressed to find many Prestige skins in one of your League of Legends games.

Mythic Essence can be earned in various ways. From crafting chests, completing events, opening up orbs, finishing missions, and so on. Money won’t get you the skins, but they can help you acquire ME. However, we don’t recommend you depart with hundreds of dollars to get Mythic Essence from the crafting chests, as the odds are quite low. The most a Prestige skin will cost in the store is 200 ME, but some of the cheaper ones can be bought for 100. Other items, such as random skin shards, chromas, and blue and orange essence, can also be purchased from the Mythic Shop with Mythic Essence.
