Fortnite’s item shop is home to unique characters, but also a whole lot of crossovers. Often, with different worlds of pop culture. However, they also include real-world people in the game as skins. Both streamers and those included in Fortnite, but also other celebrities like musicians and athletes. Lately, the musicians featured have been limited to those in the Fortnite Festival mode. However, the Bruno Mars Fortnite skin is back after a long wait.
While we’ve had quite a few different artists in Fortnite, Bruno Mars has been away for quite a while though, over 700 days since he was last featured! While Bruno Mars was heavily promoted when he first turned up, the artist took a big break. Annoying for players wanting the skin, especially as the Weekend loitered around the Item Shop for month after month! Why has the skin returned now?
Bruno Mars Fortnite Skin Is Back
In today’s Item Shop, there are a few fun surprises. We’ve already seen some new collab skins show up like the new Black Cat skin. However, Bruno Mars is a returning collab with a dedicated space in the store. It’s not just the Bruno Mars skin though, everything in the set is back. This is what’s returned this week:
Silk Sonic Set
Bruno Mars Skin – 1,800 V-Bucks
Anderson Paak – 1,500 V-Bucks
Boom Bap Pickaxe – 500 V-Bucks
These are all of the items that have made a return after quite a gap. Why were they missing for so long though?
There’s no clear reason, Epic doesn’t tend to explain when something is missing from the Fortnite Item Shop. Some players have speculated it’s down to the skins not having permission to have a different version for use in Lego and Fall Guys. We know this impacted some skins thanks to Ali-A confirming. However, we don’t know if this applies to the Bruno Mars skin. With the outfit back in the store though, if you’ve been holding out you can pick him up now.
