Clash of Clans recently released its September update, which introduced a ton of exciting content such as the Clan Notice Board, Supercharge Buildings, Legendary Scenery, and the Treasure Hunt event. However, the update didn’t exactly go as planned when players started facing many issues. To compensate for the bug-ridden update, Supercell is giving Clash of Clans players some free rewards.

Clash of Clans September Update: The Bug Saga

Problems around the September Clash of Clans update began almost immediately with Supercell announcing a quick maintenance on Sept. 13. In this, some of the bugs around the Supercharges, storage, Builder’s Apprentice, Magic Snacks, and more were addressed.

Unfortunately, this wasn’t the end of the trouble for players. Following this, another annoying bug popped up in Clash of Clans, where the full Storages were displaying but weren’t applying the new loot changes. As a result, the game had to go into another maintenance break.

What is Supercell giving away?

With all the bugs around the September update annoying the community, the developer announced some free rewards for players. The first is a 2x Star Bonus which will be live for seven days.

Therefore, players have the chance to earn double the Star Bonus in Clash of Clans from Sept. 14 to 21.

Additionally, as a result of the bugs, Supercell has paused the Treasure Hunt Event.

“We will have to postpone the Treasure Hunt event until we are 100% certain that your experience is the best one possible,” the company said in a statement. “We don’t have a date to share yet but rest assured, we will keep communicating with you, and as soon as we know more, so will you.”

That’s not all, though. Clash of Clans is also giving away more free chests as compensation when the event returns. While you wait, the Mini Spotlight Event has also arrived in the game, where players can earn a lot of loot.
