Apex Legends is on the cusp of a new season! We expect the Apex Legends season 22 patch notes to drop really soon. The big update isn’t out just yet, but we do already know quite a bit about what we’re expecting.
One big part of the new season has been the controversy over the Apex Battle Pass changes. However, with that essentially reversed, we’re looking forward to a more normal season. The big question is how the new season will affect gameplay. The map, weapons, and adjustments to the balance of power between Legends. What’s coming with the Season 22 patch notes?
Apex Legends Season 22 Changes
New Map
Source: Respawn
One of the most exciting additions to Apex is coming this season, a fresh map. This is called E-District. It’ll add even more variety to the loot pool. We’ll have to wait until release to fully explore E-District. This is a map set up to resemble an urban area. But there’s a variety of spots, like Humbert Labs to add variety.
Revival
A brand-new mechanic is coming for Season 22. This Revival mechanic is a form of Respawn. When playing Trios in this mode, you’ll respawn as long as one player on your team is still alive. Basically, the same mechanic as Fortnite Reload a few weeks ago. Your respawn timer will turn down as you get kills too.
New Weapon
Source: Respawn
A fresh weapon is coming for Season 22. This is a Dual-wield mechanic for P2020s or Mozambique. You’ll be able to wield two at once, one in each hand when hip firing.
Dual wield is always a fun twist to a weapon, making it these two pre-existing weapons it’s a bit different though. It might help make these two of the best Apex weapons this season.
Apex Legends Season 22 Release Date
Source: Respawn
The Apex Legends Season 22 patch is expected to release on August 6th. This will be in an early morning patch, as is normal for Apex Legends. That’s when we’ll get the full patch notes and confirm what’s changing with Apex Legends Season 22. Keep an eye on Apex Legends news though, we could see delays or changes to this time if anything changes with the new season’s progress.
