Black Myth: Wukong is all about the boss fights, the first of which (outside of the Prologue) is named the Bullguard. Although it isn’t the most challenging boss in Black Myth: Wukong, new players to the genre may have some trouble bringing it down. Our guide should help you if you’re struggling.

Where to find the Bullguard in Black Myth: Wukong

You can’t progress in the game without meeting Bullguard. While adventuring through the Forest of Wolves as you get your bearings, you’ll encounter the Bullguard. It will instantly try to attack you, so beware of its first hits.

Best ways to beat the Bullguard in Black Myth: Wukong

Bullguard is probably the easiest boss in all of Black Myth: Wukong. It has a very limited attack pattern, making it very easy to avoid being hit. They’re all very heavy, with long intervals, so once you’ve dodged an attack combo, jump straight in for some hits of your own.

When Bullguard reaches half-health, a cutscene will play in which you gain the Immobilize spell. This allows you to freeze it during combat from this point on. Its attacks don’t get any more complex, either, so the second half of this fight should be a breeze. Continue landing hits after the combos, and using Immobilize when it’s active. We know this all sounds like basic advice, but with Bullguard, it’s all that’s required.
