One of the most annoying things that can happen in VALORANT is the “Unable to invite” issue. This problem prevents you from inviting friends to join your party which makes it hard to team up for a match. If you’re also facing this issue, thankfully, there are a few ways to troubleshoot and potentially fix it.
VALORANT ‘Unable to invite’ issue fixes
Check server status
First, check if the servers are down. It’s not your connection sometimes that has been acting up but Riot Games’ servers are the problem. Head to the official Riot Games status page or check VALORANT’s Twitter for any updates. If the servers are down, you’ll just need to wait it out.
Restart VALORANT
Another easy fix is to restart both VALORANT and the Riot Client. Simply closing and reopening the game can fix connection issues. It refreshes your link to the servers and might solve the “Unable to invite” problem.
Check your internet connection
It’s also worth checking your internet connection. If it’s weak or unstable, it could be causing the issue. Test your connection with other online services or try restarting your modem or router if needed. Make sure no big downloads are hogging your bandwidth. Also make sure you’re not connected to any VPN service that might interfere with the connection.
Relogin to your VALORANT account
VALORANT and the Riot Client can get out of sync. If this happens, log out of both then log back into the Riot Client first before launching VALORANT. This resync might help with party-related issues.
Use the Party code feature
Try inviting friends by using the Party code feature if all else fails. Start by clicking the Party Code button located on top of your player banner and hit the Generate code button. Finally, share the code with your friend via Discord chat or whisper in order to fix the “Unable to invite” issue in VALORANT.
