With the arrival of the COD Mobile Season 8 update, players can finally get their hands on a brand assault rifle known as LAG 53. The weapon’s in-game description states it’s a low-fire-rate Assault Rifle with significant suppression in mid-range and long-range combat. However, as is tradition, it’s locked by default, which means you have to follow a certain process to unlock it. With that said, here’s everything you need to know about COD Mobile LAG 53 including how to obtain it, and its base stats.

You can unlock the LAG 53 assault rifle by completing the COD Mobile Season 8 battle pass. The exact tier of the weapon hasn’t been announced yet as Activision generally reveals it once the update launches. But it’s been officially confirmed via patch notes that it will be a part of the free track, which means you don’t have to spend any real money or COD points to unlock it.

Instead, you must rack up a ton of XP points in order to reach its respective tier and grab the LAG 53 assault rifle. The best way to do that is by completing contracts, daily and weekly challenges, and farming as many as kills you can during matches.

If grinding the battle pass isn’t for you, you can instantly unlock LAG 53 by purchasing the premium variant of the Season 8 battle pass, which eventually unlocks the first few tiers. Additionally, the Battle Pass will also reward you with the Assassin Perk for free.

In case Season 8 ends and you haven’t unlocked it, you’ll still have the opportunity to unlock the LAG 53 through an upcoming Call of Duty Mobile event or by reaching a certain level in the game.

Damage: 45
Fire Rate: 45
Accuracy: 54

As always, you can improve them by creating an ultimate attachment combo, which the community essentially calls a loadout. For instance, you can equip a muzzle attachment to improve the weapon’s damage range and a suppressor to reduce overall recoil and minimize the sound it produces.
