Riot Games’ new fighting game, 2XKO, is currently going through its alpha testing phase. The game takes a spin on some of the most popular League of Legends champions and teleports them into the fighting game genre. With fighting games, players should expect to be able to play the game in a variety of ways, the common being a controller or an arcade fight stick. In this article, we will show you how to use a controller in 2XKO.

2XKO offers multiple ways to play the game: a keyboard and mouse, a controller, and an arcade fight stick. These are standard for fighting games on the PC. It depends on personal preference, but for more casual players like myself, you will be using the controller over the arcade fight stick. To use the controller, plug in your recognised device before launching the game. Once you’ve done that, load up 2XKO, and you’re ready.

2XKO Controller Not Working

While loading up a controller is fairly simple, even for casual players, many have run into issues. Multiple Reddit threads have stated that they are having controller issues. I experienced similar issues when I was already in the waiting room. I plugged my controller in, and the game wouldn’t recognize it; I had to close the game entirely in order for the client to establish that I was using a controller.

On top of that, the button layout did not reflect what Riot has explained in their controller article. In my experience using a controller, the controls felt clunky and the movement stick did not work. Instead, the movement was linked to the taunt button, the right analog stick. With this being an Alpha test, you would expect there to be problems; it just came as a surprise a large portion of the player base struggled to play with their preferred device.
