Next week, we’re facing the end of Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3. It’ll be a shame to see a lot of it go but it’s always exciting to see what’s coming next for the Battle Royale. Often, the end of the season goes out with a bang. Is there a Fortnite live event today?
Epic has started to host some live events much more often. We might not get the level of Chapter 1 and past Fortnite seasons, with fully blown events to close out each season. However, we do get these mini-events much more often now. Their timing is often a bit more of a mystery too, with Epic rarely advertising when they’re going down. Other than when there’s a direct countdown in-game, like there is this season.
If you don’t want to miss a Fortnite event today though we do know a bit about what’s coming and when. Thanks to a big countdown over the map, we know when we can expect an event. So, is there a Fortnite live event today or do we have longer to wait?
Is There a Fortnite Live Event?
There isn’t quite a Fortnite live event today, but we are less than 24 hours away from one! The Fortnite live event will be taking place on August 10th, Saturday in most time zones. We don’t know exactly what’s coming but this will be the next event.
At the end of the last two seasons, we didn’t get full live events but mini ones with animations and other minor changes. However, these mini-events didn’t feature countdowns. We might actually be expecting something bigger this time. This year they’ve waited for the live event after the FNCS, so there’s less competition than last time around. This could mean we have a clear schedule for a full Fortntie live event today!
The other major thing happening is a live stream of a Disney Fortntie announcement. We can probably expect whatever i happening to wrap up before then. There’s also this live stream blocking the idea of huge downtime with a black hole. It was always unlikely, but after chapter 1’s end, it’s always a bit of a fear in Fortnite live events.
Will There Be More Mini Fortnite Events?
Fortnite dataminers dig through the files regularly to find things that will happen to the game. This time it seems to be more of a full event. However, we have a few days left of the season afterward. We could see more of these mini-animations happening over the next week.
Fans can play through Fortnite over the next few days, and head to Brutal Beacheas to see what’s happening. These new changes will be played regularly and developing. However, there doesn’t seem to be a single time we all have to drop in and watch a big show. A Fortnite live event today or as a one-time thing seems unlikely. It might be worth checking in for the last day before the Fortnite season ends though, as this could be when this plotline reaches its conclusion.
