So far, we’re midway through Season 2 of MultiVersus. A second round of new content for the game, and so far the update schedule has mainly remained regular. As with most live service games though, fans are already looking ahead to what’s coming next. That’s going to be MultiVersus Season 3! We’re still technically on our second round of most of these seasons. However, at this rate, this re-visit for MultiVersus will eclipse the early access seasons pretty soon!
The second season of MultiVersus introduced two fun characters, Samurai Jack and next will be Beetlejuice in MultiVersus. While there might be a third MultiVersus Season 2 character, those will be the bulk of this season, but then there’s quite a bit more coming with MultiVersus Season 3. The characters are more of a mystery right now. What do we know about the new season and when will it release in the game?

What’s Coming in MultiVersus Season 3?
The next season of MultiVersus is due to release in the coming months. Although, we know when the Battle Pass will change… the exact release date hasn’t been exactly released yet. Neither is the new content that’s coming.
Looking at leaked and upcoming MultiVersus characters there are quite a few candidates that might be added soon. There are characters like Raven, and more Game of Thrones characters that could be showing up soon. Since Season 2 added two long-rumoured characters like Beetlejuice to the title, we might see more coming that have been talked about for quite a while in Season 3.
Elsewhere, it’s a bit more unclear what else is coming. Season 2 had the big headline of re-adding the MultiVersus Ranked mode which players had been missing. Although, there isn’t a glaring gap for MultiVersus Season 3. So, it’s still quite a mystery what content’s coming! We’ll find out more over the coming weeks though.
When does MultiVersus Season 3 Release?
Most of the content for Season 3 is still a mystery, but what about the release date? Since MultiVersus has end dates for its Battle Passes we can make some pretty educated guesses about how the schedule is going to go.
The current MultiVersus Season 2 Battle Pass is going to end on September 17th. After this, we’ll probably see MultiVersus Season 3 brought into the game! The last handover between seasons only took normal downtime. Once a season ended, the next one nearly instantly started. So September 17-18th is the most likely release date for MultiVersus Season 3. We’ll find out more then, like the new characters coming to the game and more.
