One of the most used skins in the game is getting a new style, with the Fortnite Lara Croft skin getting a new variant! According to leakers, we’ll soon be getting a fresh version of the character. Collabs like this are often popular, but since she was added Lara Croft has had a bit of a second life in the game’s esports.
Lara Croft was the Battle Pass collab back in an old Fortnite season, Chapter 2 Season 6. A controversial Primal season which introduced a lot of wonky mechanics and meddled with gameplay. However, the Lara Croft skin was definitely worth praising. A skin of the character’s modern looks, but also a stylized version featuring an older design of them.
While it was just another collab at first, the skin has some features in common with popular skins for comp players. Female hitbox, simple design, apparently low lag. Will the new Fortnite Lara Croft skin be able to repeat this popularity?

New Fortnite Lara Croft Skin Leaks
A new batch of Fortnite Lara Croft skin and cosmetics will be arriving soon! According to Fortnite leakers, the new skin was added in this update. It’s called Lara Croft (2000s).
So far, the first skin had styles representing the present day and 90s origin for the character. It seems likely that this new one will reflect her design in the middle stage. The item shop will feature the usual extra items you expect with a skin, extra items to fill out a locker slot. However, it’ll include a car too! Lately Epic’s been including more of these additional items for other modes with collab skins.
Since the Lara Croft skin is one of the most popular with sweats, the new version likely has an audience waiting for it! It’ll probably be a common sight in games once we get started.
New Lara Croft Fortnite Skin Revealed
Now that we’ve had the most recent Fortnite update, the new Lara Croft Fortnite skin is in the game! As with most new cosmetics, Fortnite leakers have managed to decrypt it before it comes to the game properly. What exactly are we getting with this new Lara Croft skin in Fortnite?

The new skin is definitely what was talked about in the leaks, a 2000s version of Lara Croft. It’s still recognizably the same character. Although, the Lara Croft skin is a bit more polished than the earliest versions of the game. It resembles how the character looked in titles during this period. The new Lara Croft doesn’t have the same purposely retro look as the older skin though. It isn’t designed to look like games from the 2000s, just to match the design.
Other Items in Set
It also seems we’ve gotten more information on the other items. We’ve known since the leaks that we’ll be getting a car skin. The skin and designs you can apply to vehicles that overwrite its appearance in Battle Royale. This will be for the hatchback vehicle that’s in-game. It’ll be a 2000s looking Jeep. One that’s apparently featured in Tomb Raider materials over the years.
The emote has also leaked. It’s a fun one where the character takes two ancient looking wheels. After combining the two of them, they begin to spin. They then shatter into mystical looking pieces! The emote will be part of the bundle for the character.
According to leakers, the new Lara Croft Fortnite skin will be arriving on the item shop tonight, when it changes over for the March 14th version of the game. It’s most likely to show up on that day. Sometimes skins don’t meet their dates and float around in the files for a while, but we don’t expect that to happen this time. The Lara Croft Fortnite skin looks like it’s ready to go.
