Shopify is on the hunt for more success than their last season as the now tenured North American organization struggled to maintain its position at the top of the region. With the departure of iconic NA player Artour “Arteezy” Babaev, the organization is in need of recapturing its identity, and seems poised to do this with the now-international roster it is currently fielding.
With no formal rules on region requirements for teams, its expected Dota 2 organizations will continue to field these more diverse squads. Shopify currently fields players from Southeast Asia, Eastern Europe, and South America, but no native NA players. This fusion is further compounded by the seeming fusion of the Americas regions in competitive play.
Timado, mangekyou, and Hellscream and the rest of Shopify Rebellion will next compete in the BB Dacha Belgrade Americas Closed Qualifiers, later today (Sep. 23). They are also expected to compete in the DreamLeague S24 qualifiers later this month.
