The International 2024’s start is just two days away, so its time to make sure you’re locked in for TI13 Bingo and the rest of the mini games available in the Compendium.
While the Bingo may seem completely random, there definitely is some strategy to it, especially if you want to earn those crucial Compendium Points and level up. Here’s our guide to getting the most out of your Bingo
The International 2024 Compendium Bingo Guide
TI13 Compendium Bingo is a mini game that allows you to earn points for the Compendium just by letting things happen during The International. There are a total of 9,000 Compendium Points up for grabs, meaning nine whole levels for your Compendium.
Bingo Squares are random, and can be Shuffled, Rerolled, and Upgraded. Generally, Shuffling isn’t advised once you’ve started to get a good bingo board. Our advice is to attempt to use rerolls to get a decent number of easy achievable squares.
For example, Controlled Demolition, The Quick and the Dead, and No Rune For You, are good squares, because tower denials, kills after Haste runes, and rune denials are pretty common things.
You’ll want to avoid really specific things such as Blink and You’ll Miss It (X number of Blink Daggers purchased in a game). Even elements like Fuzzy Wuzzy (Two Furry Heroes) and the various ones based on legs are risky until the TI meta has solidified.
Generally, you don’t want any progress requirements that need more than 20 instances. Ideally, your bingo squares will have less than 10 requirements for each game. While each game can tick multiple boxes, there are a finite number of games. Make sure you use your Upgrade Square tokens to reduce squares as low as possible where you can.
And if you do have bad squares, try to mitigate them by either rerolling or having them sit in parallel with the centre Free square.
TI13 Bingo Card Example
Here’s our example Bingo Card. This isn’t 100% optimal, but it makes use of repeated high value square to attempt to maximize the results. Note that in almost all cases, we’ve attempted to keep the required amount under 20 and in most cases around 4-10:
Once you have your ideal Bingo Square, all you can really do is cross your fingers and hope. Good luck and enjoy The International!
