During the VCT Masters Shanghai, Gen G defeated Team Heretics to become the first VCT Pacific team to win an international event. Due to this, Smoggy was forced to play with a pistol on the defense.
Smoggy was playing with agent Clove on this map, which is not a traditional pick. Smoggy pushed ahead of the plant site as soon as the round began and started taking down one after another. Due to this, the round ended within 14 seconds. One must note that this was at the decider map of the series.

The next moment isn’t one of the thrilling moments; instead, it’s an incredible clutch by the rookie Cho “Flashback” Min-hyuk from DRX. This was during the lower bracket round 2 match between Team Heretics and DRX. It was around 13 on the Icebox map. Following Team Heretics’s planning of the spike, it was a 2v1 situation after clearing all the angles on the A site. With the spike diffusing, Flashback started to diffuse the spike and got to it to half. Then, Dominykas MiniBoo Lukaševičius slides from one side to another to stop the diffuse.

This moment was one of those maps that made everyone at the watch parties and in the Inspire Arena gasp. It took place during round 24. Following Team Heretics planting the spike, it was a 5v5 situation in the post plant. During this round, Zheng “ZmjjKK” Yongkang started jumping into the site. He got three kills at the start. Kangkang continued his onslaught by pushing forward and gaining space, and he secured another kill with a headshot by Kangkang. But before he could get the kill on Boo, Boo sent in his mollie on the spike.
The players from Edward Gaming tried to diffuse the spike, but due to being low on health, both the players died. While S1mon and Nobody attempted to diffuse the spike and failed, Kangkangf secured an ACE. This round win for Team Heretics helped them secure map four and take the Grand Finals to the last map.

If there was one round that would certify why Kangkang deserved to be the tournament MVP, it was during a crucial round on the decider map of the Grand Finals. Before this round, Team Heretics had won five rounds in a row. On this round, Kangkang on an eco round decided to pick up a guardian. In the first 8 seconds of the round, he agreed forward and got the first kill on Wo0t. After that, Kangkang took down a flying Miniboo with an incredible diagonal flick in the air.
He ended the round with an incredible 4k, taking Edward Gaming to Championship point. The exciting part of Thai 4K was that each kill was from a headshot. One must note that the guardian isn’t an automated rifle, and each bullet shot is based on the timing of the mouse click. During this map, Kangkang ended the map with 19/13/3 and four first bloods to his name. This proves why he is one of the best players in the world and deserves to be the tournament MVP.
