Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 is a lot of fun, but it does have some balance issues. Now we’re past the biggest event of the year for competitive Fortnite, Epic has dropped new Fortnite balance adjustments hotfix. They’ve made some key changes to some of the overly powerful and under-used items in the game.

What’s changed with this latest hotfix? It’s a bit of a weird one. Some of the most useful items haven’t been nerfed, but they’re becoming much rarer. On the other hand, a recent addition that’s kind of a useless item has been buffed a bit. These are the big takeaways from today’s little change:

Fortnite Balance Adjustments Hotfix – What’s Changed?

The new update to Fortnite (or hotfix, more accurately), has changed two of the new Marvel weapons. It’s our second batch of nerfs to these items but this time the winners and victims are a little different.

The first change is to War Machine’s Hover Jet. This is the season’s Jetpack. It’s also the most vital mobility item that is an absolute must-carry in the game. The kind of thing that makes you just want to quit if you can’t manage to find one in time for your game. It’s getting rarer.

Rather than nerfing it, Epic is making it much less common. It’s going to come out of Avengers chests a lot less. This means it’ll be more frustrating to find but still as essential to winning Fortnite games.

Next up is the new item, the Shuri Black Panther Claws. These were added in the last update and haven’t been too good. They’re getting a buff. They’ll work at longer ranges and allow you to sprint faster. While it doesn’t look like it’s going to rival the Jetpack, this could make it a more viable alternative.
