EVO is by far the biggest western fighting game event, and we’ve just wrapped up another landmark year. This time, EVO had some of its most intense moments in a few years. Next year, we’ll get even more opportunities for impressive tournaments as EVO 2025 is expanding significantly. Becoming even more international. The first plans for next year have already been announced.

EVO has announced its key dates for the year to come. Not just EVO, but EVO Japan is making a return again. Then another international event bringing EVO to Europe too. That’s along with launching a new awards show, the EVO Awards. Taking place in 2025 in LA. What do these new expansions mean?

EVO 2025 Adding More International Events

Over the years, EVO has already grown quite a bit. We had EVO, usually happening in Las Vegas. EVO Japan, which made a comeback in recent years in Tokyo. However, with the growth of fighting games in recent years, the series is expanding even further. They’re adding another two EVO events!

There will be an EVO 2025 event taking place in Nice next year. Coming quite a few months after the Summer EVO, Nice will be host to another EVO tournament. That’s along with an extra event added in North America! These are the four EVO 2025 events we’ve seen announced so far:

Los Angeles (February)
Tokyo (May)
Las Vegas (August)
Nice (October)

EVO’S Growth

The new EVO events are marking a big expansion in the world of fighting game esports That includes a new ceremony known as the EVO Awards, where they’re giving out new awards to honor the biggest moments at EVO. With new tournaments added too, this series is becoming even bigger.

Starting in 2025, we’re going to see EVO spreading across all three major regions for fighting games. We’ll see Europe, America, and Asia each getting its own EVO tournament in 2025. This series looks set to keep growing from here.
