DK vs TES – Eastern teams clash

DK comes from a somewhat disappointing performance against LNG, which saw them struggle to keep up with the LPL 3rd seed for the majority of the series. While losing to them was the expected result, DK is still facing the same issues they have had throughout the majority of the season. The team has great moments but is also more volatile than other top teams, especially in some of the small mistakes the team makes.

TES, instead, has been on a crescendo. They beat T1 in the opening round and demolished FNC in the third one, losing to Gen.G who went undefeated in the Swiss stage. Considering they were the second seed, TES is maintaining the expectations, with the team looking strong across the board.

Match Breakdown

Going into this series, we would expect the bot lane matchup to be the main focus. DK is known for playing through Aiming and TES loves to enable JackeyLove and put him into a carry position. Both Lucid and Tian will play a major role in the early mid-game macro and map presence. The two have been mainly playing front line tanks and it’s likely we will see the two handshake the jungle picks throughout the series.

If there is an opening, though, I would expect it coming from Kingen. The guy has been testing out various counterpicks and even played Yone top lane. Against 369 who is known to be a weakside player, he might be the X factor DK needs.

Overall, however, TES is still favored. They are less likely to make mistakes and even if things get heated, we would expect them to capitalize on DK’s usual mid and late-game shenanigans.
