R6 Finals at EWC playing for $750,000

All the teams that made it into the playoffs stage have already made their mark on history. 60 Club points were granted to all quarterfinalists, ramping up to 275 for 3rd and 4th. The lion’s share of the $2 million prize pool will have our winners walking way with three quarters of one million dollars. T

he Grand Finals will be the only Best of 5 Match to take place at EWC this year for Rainbow 6. They’ll also be taking home 1,000 Club points.

W7M made an impressive run through their matches after coming in as the 5th seed. They took down Bleed and the surprise upset over Team Liquid to qualify for Best of 5.

They wait on the winner of Team BDS and Furia who are set to play later on.

The Grand Finals will take place on Sunday, one hour later than the Quarter and Semi Finals have started.

The Favorites to Win Esports World Cup

Seeding wise, W7M have been pulling off upsets since reaching top cut to make it this far. Based on their individual runs all the way back in the group stages we can see that they’ll be hungry for the runback against Team BDS after being knocked into the lower bracket in Groups.

Since then though, they have been playing white hot. With wins over Luminosity, Bleed and Team Liquid without dropping a map on their war path to the Grand Final stage. Their opponents have been playing to the level you’d expect to make it onto the grand stage.

Both Furia and Team BDS made clean sweeps through their group stages, but had tough games in the quarter finals to get into their Semis face off. If Team BDS, who themselves have done fantastic work in bracket, then they’ll be looking for gold by proving the Group Stages were no fluke. Furia, the once undisputed number 1s have a lot to prove, after some LAN performances escaped them.

Even after the dust settles, there’s still plenty of EWC events running after Rainbow 6 closes the curtains.
